Registered Architect: Nebraska.
I CHOSE TO BE A PROJECT MANAGER BECAUSE:
I like being a part of the process of keeping a project moving towards completion.
I AM ALWAYS AMAZED BY:
The moment when the effort to create becomes a reality that improves the lives of everyone the project touches.
I AM MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT:
Finding ways to problem solve when creating buildings and furniture designs.
I AM MOST PROUD OF:
My ability to take an idea and construct it out of wood.
I HAVE HAD GREAT FORTUNE IN MY LIFE TO:
To have family and friends that can be relied on.
IF I COULD MEET ANYONE, LIVING OR DEAD, I WOULD MEET:
I would like to meet my great-great-grandfather Adam Gebhard. He left Germany in 1850 and arrived in Nebraska territory when survival from year to year was the challenge. Years later he served as a local contractor. The church he built in Richardson County still stands to this day.
MY FIRST JOB WAS:
Delivering newspapers by bicycle at $1 a day. It also taught me how to be organized and save money. Best of all I learned there are health benefits of being active on a daily basis. This started me on my way of riding and promoting bicycling, trail development and bridge building over the last 50 years.
THE BEST PART ABOUT MY JOB AT CLH ARCHITECTS IS:
I am enjoying the variety of projects from Historic Renovation to Indian Health Services facility work. The staff is beyond helpful and professional which makes the work environment great.
THE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR CAREER:
My father, who initially suggested that I look into being an architect. Though he died young he taught by example the values of integrity, honesty and generosity.
