To envision an idea in my mind, then to nurture and test it, and then to finally execute that idea into reality. I think of design more in the verb form rather than a noun. It is a process of creating something unique.
I CHOSE TO BE AN ARCHITECT BECAUSE:
It combined my love of art, music and my analytical brain all into one career.
I AM ALWAYS AMAZED BY:
The majesty and beauty of the Rocky Mountains.
I AM MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT:
Providing exceptional value, design and quality to our clients.
I AM MOST PROUD OF:
My family and over 40 years of marriage.
I HAVE HAD GREAT FORTUNE IN MY LIFE TO:
Travel to most of the states and to 22 countries, which has added so much to my own human experience.
I MAKE TIME TO:
Spend time with my 6 grandchildren.
IF I HIT THE LOTTERY I WOULD:
Retire, then make sure I didn’t lose it all within a year.
MY FIRST JOB WAS:
My older brother and I started a lawn mowing business when I was in high school.
SOMETHING ABOUT ME NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW:
I am a direct descendant of a man that came to America on the Mayflower..
THE BEST PART ABOUT MY JOB AT CLH ARCHITECTS IS:
That I can make a positive contribution to the built environment and enhance the healing environments of veterans and all seeking better health and care.
THE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR CAREER:
Probably my single greatest mentor was Dick Anderson, at a firm in Denver when I was in my 30’s.
WHEN I WAS LITTLE, I WANTED TO GROW UP TO BE:
I wanted to be an Architect from 9th grade. But before that I wanted to build things.
