Boys Town Dormitories

About This Project

Boys Town houses children and adolescents that have been removed from their families and places them in homes with foster parents on the Boys Town campus. CLH Architects designed seven new family housing units for Boys Town. This project entailed the adaptation of outdated dormitory facilities into state-of-the-art family housing residences. Each home consists of quarters that can accommodate up to nine youths, with appropriate recreation, kitchen and bedroom areas, as well as private attached quarters for family unit teachers and loft space for their offices. Care was taken in the design to create a family-like atmosphere and provide all the security, monitoring and unique circulation requirements for these types of special housing facilities.
