Clinic Hospitality Servces

About This Project

Boys Town National Research Hospital renovated an old MRI into a canteen for staff and visitors at the West hospital. BTNRH implemented Avenue C by Canteen, an automated market-style vending system that allows customers to shop and purchase products via the Avenue C kiosk. This is the first installation of Avenue C open to the public alongside a company’s employees.

The space was designed to feel like a market rather than a vending or break room. Alcoves and soffits were designed around the Avenue C furniture to make it a part of the room, not just in the room. The doors were designed to provide a level of transparency and open room to the hospital. Finishes were chosen to match the existing hospital, while terrazzo tile was chosen to brighten up the room.
