Two Springs Elementary School

About This Project

CLH Architects handled site studies and the master planning for this three-unit elementary school in the southwest area of Bellevue, Nebraska.  This study turned into the new construction of this 65,000 SF elementary school.  Two key elements to this project were community involvement and the need for a children’s library with an interactive teaching design.  The structure was designed for community use during non-school hours.   The library was designed with a child’s eye in mind. The circulation desk has adjustable height counters and is located next to the electronic card catalog, ideal for adult interaction.  Book shelves are low enough to keep track of wandering bookworms and houses all books within the students’ reach.
